Sydney Metro – Chatswood to Marrickville, John Holland, CPB, Ghella D&C, October 2017 – Current, $2.1 Bil, Senior Project Engineer
The Sydney Metro City and Southwest is a new 30-kilometre metro line that will extend metro rail from the end of Sydney Metro Northwest at Chatswood under Sydney Harbour, through new CBD stations and southwest to Bankstown.
- 16.5 kilometres of new metro line between Chatswood and Sydenham
- 15.5 kilometres of new twin tunnels
- 13.5 kilometre upgrade and conversion of the T3 Bankstown Line to metro standards.
The scope of the TSE Works consists of the detailed design, construction and handover of the Running Tunnels, Cross Passages, Nozzle Enlargements, Station Excavations, Rail Crossover, Connections and associated civil works required for the Sydney Metro City and Southwest between Chatswood and the Marrickville area including the crossing beneath the Sydney Harbour. The Project includes procurement of tunnelling plant and equipment, establishment and reinstatement of work sites, spoil handling systems, spoil removal and disposal, all utility and other services to support tunnel construction and station excavation and all required utility relocations and adjustments at construction work sites and station sites.
Rodney is in the position Senior Project Engineer for the Independent Certifier. His responsibilities include Zone manager for the North Zone ( project is divided into North, City & South), reviews and commentary of ITPs, work lots, Work Method statements and Non-conformance reports (NCR’s) and general site surveillance. Awareness of relevant RFI which may be different to the AFC drawings, attendance at Site Meetings, site Process Control Verification audits (PCVs) and Permit to Tunnel presentations (PTT).
