Nambucca Heads to Urunga upgrade, Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), March 2014 – August 2015, $780 m, Project Engineer
Roads and Maritime Services has engaged Lend Lease to design and construct the $780 million Nambucca Heads to Urunga upgrade. Major work began on 15 January 2014.
Upgrading the Nambucca Heads to Urunga section involves building 22 kilometres of four-lane divide road, including two new interchanges north of Nambucca Heads and Ballards Road and upgrading the existing Waterfall Way interchange at Raleigh. A rest area will also be built on the western side of the highway at the Nambucca Heads interchange. Rodney is in the position of Project Engineer, Bridgeworks. His responsibilities include providing advice to the Project Manager on construction issues, reviewing Work Method statements and monitoring compliance in the field, assisting in ongoing reviews and resolution of RFI’s and NCR’s, raising perceived non complying matters in the issues’ register, monitoring and reporting on the Contractor’s on site progress in relation to program
