The project involved duplication of 17km of the N2 National highway between Coega and Colchester in the Eastern Cape region. Rodney was in the position of Assistant Resident Engineer responsible for all structural aspects of the project. These were a 6 span precast post-tensioned beam bridge of 200m in length over the Sundays River and 3 large box culverts
